Your financial data is deeply personal. We treat it with the utmost respect and protection.
We Never Sell Your Data
Period. No exceptions. Your financial information, spending habits, category breakdowns, and personal details are never shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third party — including advertisers, data brokers, analytics companies, or affiliates.
We do not monetize your personal financial data in any way. While we display third-party advertisements to support the free service, your expense data, categories, budgets, and financial details are never shared with advertisers.
Encryption & Security
- Password Protection: All passwords are hashed using bcrypt with 12 rounds of salting — we never store plain-text passwords. Even our team cannot see your password.
- Encrypted Connections: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL (HTTPS) encryption.
- Session Security: Authentication uses secure JWT tokens with short expiration times. Sessions are cryptographically signed and verified.
- Database Security: Your data is stored in a secured database with access controls, query parameterization to prevent injection attacks, and regular backups.
What We Collect & Why
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide you with the service:
- Account info (name, email) — to identify your account
- Expense data (descriptions, amounts, categories, dates) — the core service you use
- Budget preferences — to provide budget tracking features
We do not collect device fingerprints, location data, browsing history, contacts, or any data beyond what you explicitly enter.
Third-party advertising: We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. This does not include your personal financial data. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or Network Advertising Initiative.
Your Data, Your Control
You have complete ownership of your data. At any time, you can:
- Export everything — download all your expense data in CSV, Excel, or PDF format
- Delete individual entries — remove any expense at any time
- Full data portability — take your data wherever you want, no lock-in
Data Deletion
You can delete individual expenses at any time from your dashboard. All deletions are permanent and immediate — we do not retain deleted data in any backup or archive system.
